GOD’S DESIGN FOR THE FAMILY
But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.
Joshua 24:15
Family is not a coincidence; it is a design born from the heart of God. From the very beginning, He established the home as the first place where we learn to love, forgive, serve, and grow in faith. It doesn’t matter what your family looks like today—big or small, united or in the process of restoration—God has a purpose and a calling for every home. Family remains one of the greatest blessings God has entrusted to us.
Family is sacred ground, but it is also the place where our character and faith are tested the most. In the family we learn patience. In the family we learn to love unconditionally. In the family we learn to forgive again and again.
Joshua understood something profound: blessing in the home begins with a spiritual decision. It doesn’t depend on circumstances or the behavior of each member, but on who reigns in the house.
When Christ is the center of the home: communication is healed, wounds find their medicine, hearts are softened, and the peace of God takes its rightful place.
The family is a spiritual target because it is powerful. It is within the home that future leaders, pastors, worshipers, intercessors, and servants of God are born. That is why the enemy tries so hard to destroy what God wants to build.
Family is not perfect, but it is called to move forward together into the presence of God. Every word of affirmation, every prayer together, every act of service builds a strong foundation. Even when there are battles, God continues working behind the scenes—forming, restoring, and uniting.
Ask yourself today:
What can I do to reflect Christ more clearly in my home?
What decisions do I need to make so that my house becomes a place where God dwells?
When one person in the family decides to honor God, the entire home begins to experience transformation.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for the gift of family. You know our joys, our struggles, and our challenges. Today we place our home in Your hands. We ask You to fill it with Your peace, Your love, and Your guidance. Heal what is broken, strengthen what is weak, and unite what has been separated. Help us serve You together and reflect Your love in every word and action. In Jesus’ name, amen.

EXTEND MERCY AND GRACE
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Galatians 6:10 NIV
Only a close friend or family member can betray you as they alone can get close enough to place the "kiss of betrayal" on your cheek. Perhaps that is why family - and this includes Church family, too - can be its own worst enemy. It is the place where we let down our defenses and become vulnerable.
If a stranger came up to you and said something nasty you might walk away. But if the family whispers something hurtful, the wound cuts deep. Too many times we may show mercy and grace to those we barely know and don't extend the same measure of mercy and grace to those in our family, even our church family.
Paul's final words in Galatians are very clear. "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
(Galatians 6:10 NIV)
PRAYER
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this new day. Thank you for life, health, protection and provision.
Today, I declare that your favor goes before us and surrounds us on every side.
Every plan of the enemy against our family shall fail, and every door of opportunity shall open in our favor.
Let productivity, breakthroughs and divine acceleration be our portion.
Bless our family, our work and all that concerns us.
I decree that this day will not be ordinary; it will be filled with testimonies, divine encounters, and supernatural favor in Jesus' mighty name. Amen!

SERVING AND HONORING
But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household we will serve the Lord.
Joshua 24:15
As I meditate on the last sentence of this verse, I am focused on three words, household, serve & Lord. The household, or family, I grew up in was fairly large, I was number 6 of 12 children. There was a lot of chaos & activity at times. I was raised in the Catholic faith and my parents made sure we attended church every Sunday & every Holy day. I learned the importance of family prayer especially when a member of the family was sick or injured.
One of the most important things a family can do is to decide that their home will be a place where God is honored. Family to me is not only my biological family but my church family. Serving our biological family is something we do automatically. It can be hard work and frankly I really don’t feel like doing it at times. But because I love them I will do it & in doing so I am honoring God. It’s the same with our church family. I love serving in the church & sometimes it is hard and time consuming but it is what God has called us to do, it’s how we honor Him & each other.
Let us ask ourselves, how are we serving the Lord in our families & in our church?
PRAYER
Father God I thank you for family, my biological family & my church family. I pray we learn to honor & serve each other to bring glory to your name. We repent & ask forgiveness for the times we have failed to honor & serve our family. We decree that our homes will be filled with the glory of God. All who enter will feel your presence and we decree that according to your word, As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. Amen

HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT
My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
When we had our first child, Sky, our world was turned upside down. We were a young married couple thrown into the wild territory of parenting. Little did we know that this new territory we found ourselves in was about to become even wilder. Sky wasn't meeting his developmental milestones and right before the age of three, he was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called Angelman Syndrome. This disorder doesn't have a known cure, and it meant that Sky would most likely be non-verbal and have physical and cognitive challenges that would require 24 hour care his entire life. Needless to say, the dreams we had of seeing our son run, jump, hunt, drive, get married and hearing a simple "I love you" all came crashing down in a matter of seconds. So here we were, a newly married, newly Christian couple sleep deprived and living life hanging on by a thread receiving the most crushing news of our lives.
Maybe you haven't lived through receiving a devastating diagnosis, but we all face hardships and trials in our lives. In 2 Corinthians, Paul was pleading with God to remove the "thorn in his side". The Lord simply tells him that his grace is sufficient and that his power is made perfect in weakness.
For the many days, months and years ahead we learned of our many shortcomings. However, in those shortcomings He is enough to overcome the daily challenges we face as a family and raising a special needs son. In our hardships, there is a place where God will mightily display His glory that we cannot see in our earthly mindset. What appears as a place of great suffering is most often the breeding ground of great faith. This is His promise to each and every one of us: in the midst of the misgivings of life, God will bring beauty from ashes (Isaiah 61:3). In the years following Sky's diagnosis and, in our many weaknesses, God has taught us how to dream new dreams. Because universal love language, we hear Sky's "I love you" in ways that words cannot express. Praise God! In what area of your life is the power of Christ at work in?
PRAYER
Dear Lord,
I lay (insert your trial) at your feet today. I believe that you are at work in me and in my family. May we be a family who lives in surrender to you. Have your way in our lives and in my weakness make your power perfect. Thank you for grace that is sufficient and continue to do your sanctification work in me, O Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.

HIS DIVINE PLAN
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
Genesis 1: 27 & 28
This topic of Family started with Our Heavenly Father, applying it in our lives keeps us focused & reminder of His intentions. He saw that it was Good in our everyday lives! He gave provisions with commanding instructions, expecting us to be fruitful and increase, a.k.a children and grandchildren.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we lift up everyone who reads the account of Creation, reveal to them personally that Family is your divine plan and purpose on the earth. You are a good good Father, and when they were born you saw that it was Good. We know Jesus that life gets messy, troubled and doesn't seem to go in the direction we expected, whether married, single, widowed or divorced, nevertheless we all come from Family...You are still the One...In Jesus name!

HIS DIVINE PLAN
Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—for we are members of his body. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.” Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Ephesians 5:22-32, 6:1-4
The husband/father has a great responsibility in rearing his family as unto the Lord. When the husband/father learns to let his flesh die, and love himself through Christ, then he will know how to love his wife well. The husband, like Christ to the church, is meant to wash his wife with the water of the word and in turn she can then teach the children the ways of righteousness. The wife’s responsibility is to honor her husband as she honors God.
As the wife submits to her husband, prays for him, and encourages him, then there is unity because God’s design for family is complete. There is then peace in the home, as well! The power couple can then guide their children in the fear and reverence of the Lord. As the husband takes his proper place in leading his wife and caring for her like Jesus does for us, and as the wife submits to her husband’s leadership and cares for him, then nothing can shake them because they are rooted in the Lord. That is true kingdom family.
PRAYER
Thank you Lord for teaching us how to die daily to ourselves within our families. We choose to love one another, trust, submit and obey. You are our greatest example and we choose to follow you every day.

GIVING OF OURSELVES
Out of respect for Christ, be courteously reverent to one another. Wives, understand and support your husbands in ways that show your support for Christ. The husband provides leadership to his wife the way Christ does to his church, not by domineering but by cherishing. So just as the church submits to Christ as he exercises such leadership, wives should likewise submit to their husbands.
Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church—a love marked by giving, not getting. Christ’s love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty. Everything he does and says is designed to bring the best out of her, dressing her in dazzling white silk, radiant with holiness. And that is how husbands ought to love their wives. They’re really doing themselves a favor—since they’re already “one” in marriage.
No one abuses his own body, does he? No, he feeds and pampers it. That’s how Christ treats us, the church, since we are part of his body. And this is why a man leaves father and mother and cherishes his wife. No longer two, they become “one flesh.” This is a huge mystery, and I don’t pretend to understand it all. What is clearest to me is the way Christ treats the church. And this provides a good picture of how each husband is to treat his wife, loving himself in loving her, and how each wife is to honor her husband.
Ephesians 5:21-33 MSG
If you notice how God is teaching us to be givers in this verse, not just receivers. We speak about giving our tithes and offerings; a lot of times when we give, we also receive. God pours out blessings on our lives when we have a heart of generosity and giving. It is selfish to always be on the receiving end and not give of yourself for others - especially those we love and cherish. This verse speaks to husbands and wives but it also goes with every relationship. If we want to be more like Christ, we must be willing to be giving of ourselves, not just in finances, but in our relationships as well. Picture a family table with your family all around it. If everyone brought something to the table to share with everyone else, they all get to partake and be filled. If I brought my portion, I receive other portions from my family. I’m not just giving, I’m actually receiving as well. If I were selfish and did not bring something and just expected everyone else to give me their portions, I would be leaving them neglected and lacking in their portions while I am filled up. It feeds myself but starves the others.
When you come to the table, come with what you have (your portion) to offer and don’t expect everyone else to “feed you”. That’s not what Christ did. Jesus gave himself completely for all to partake. He was and is the ultimate Giver! He was not hanging on the cross expecting us to “pay him back”. No. He gave himself without demanding something in return.
Today, think about ways you can be more of a giver to your family. Give more of your time. Give more of an effort in helping around the house. Give more love. Give more words of encouragement. Give more prayer.
PRAYER
Father, I pray that you will show me the ways that I need to improve in my life when it comes to being a giver, especially with my family. Help me to see their needs and help me to have compassion and a desire to help, even if I feel frustrated or even if I feel that I am not receiving. Father, I pray that you will fill me up with your love and life - You are my portion! If there are any areas in my life where I feel neglected by my family, I pray that You are the One who fills that void! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

THE CHURCH’S RESPONSIBILITY
And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Ephesians 4: 11-13 & 1:22-23 NIV
The church has been thought a lot of as the vessel that is to preach the gospel to the lost. Actually that responsibility is given to each individual person who has accepted Jesus as their savior. The Great Commission in Mark 16:15 tells us to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. That is each of our responsibility to preach, to live lives that express Christ.
The church has the responsibility to teach the word, to train God’s people to be like Jesus (make disciples). To bring the kingdom of God to earth. Jesus has given the church gifts, the Apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastors, teachers to equip the church (His Kingdom residents). Those gifts were given to help His people learn how to grow into a mature person that can represent Him well. To equip His people to do His work and build up His body, which is His church.
The church is God’s family working together to equip, to encourage, to strengthen, to build up so that its members can be prepared to preach the gospel, to be strong, informed, and transform.
Romans 12:4-5 tells us there are many parts to this family. We all together are a unique puzzle when put together makes up the church. Jesus loves the church, His prize, His bride. He is coming back for her.
PRAYER
Lord, I pray for the help of the Holy Spirit. Help your people to fulfill the church’s commission. May we teach, train and love your people like you do. May we be the family that forgives, strengthens, builds each other up. In a world that is full of darkness, hate and lack may the church be the light, the help, the answer the people are looking for. May the church be so caring that people hear and flock to it like they did when they heard about Jesus and all He taught all He was doing. I pray we the church use our gifting to help one another as you designed us to. May we the church represent you well. I pray that you, Jesus will be able to say to the church, well done you have been faithful in all I ask you to do.

WHY SHOULD WE GO?
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:23-25
Why should we go to Church? In Hebrews 10:23-25 we are urged to hold on to our hope (in Jesus’ salvation) without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. Also to stimulate one another to good deeds. To not forsake the assembling of ourselves together as the habit of some is - and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
When the Lord tells us to do something there is a good reason for it. In this case there are many reasons. We are to worship God and Him only. Where 2 or 3 are gathered together in my name, there am I (Jesus) in the midst.
In the early Church the Bible tells us they devoted themselves to the Apostles’ teaching (the Bible), fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. We are part of each other in Christ and we need each other.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I pray that we may always depend on you and your Holy Spirit to lead us into our place in the Body of Christ. May we all be conformed to the image of Christ. In
Jesus name. Amen

ENCOURAGE AND STRENGTHEN
Therefore encourage (admonish, exhort) one another and edify (strengthen and build up) one another, just as you are doing.
I Thessalonians 5:11 (AMPC)
PRAYER
Lord we ask for Your guidance as we seek to encourage, strengthen, and build up our church family. Give us words of wisdom and comfort that will uplift those who are struggling. Help us to be attentive to the needs of our brothers and sisters.
May Family of Faith be a place of refuge and strength. As we continue to build each other up, let our faith grow stronger and our bond deeper reflecting Your love to our community. May we always remember “we are family”, united as one to be a testimony of Your love, Your peace, and Your mercy. Amen

BEING DISSATISFIED
This is my command – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:9
Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.
Jeremiah 33:9
Pastor Josue said we are moving from a Moses anointing to a Joshua anointing. Moses delivered Israel from Egypt. In the same way, we have been delivered from our old sin nature. Is that it? Are we satisfied? Is it a “my four and no more” mentality? Are we happy and comfortable with what we have and who we are? I pray, “God, No!” Smith Wigglesworth once said, “I can only be satisfied with the dissatisfaction that never rests until it is satisfied again and again.” The Joshua anointing says I will go and possess the land. Intentionally taking the ground around us, advancing God's kingdom. What will our church be known for? Will we be a church that is comfortable and loves on our own people? Or will we become a church “dissatisfied;” a church known for possessing the land around us? Will we take our community for Christ? Let us become like Joshua, strong and courageous, taking action, knowing God will back us up!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I pray that we may always depend on you and thank you, Lord, for our church. Thank you for the plan you have for our church. Thank you for your Word. Thank you for your Holy Spirit. As you were with Moses and Joshua, be with us, oh Lord. Give us your strength and courage as we walk with you, go where you lead, and speak your words. Give us a heart for those you are sending us to. Help us to love them with your love. May your name be glorified! May the people of Licking County and the nations rejoice, shout your praise, and declare you are Lord! Amen!

GOD’S CORRECTION
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16 – 17
Most people don’t like to be corrected, let alone have God correct them. The thing of it is; God’s people should want God’s correction. In this way, they will be fully equipped for everything God has for them to do. At times we need to stand naked before God so that He can cover us with His robe of righteousness. In Him, we are accepted, secure, and significant. Throughout His Word He shows us His truth to teach us who we are as His adopted child. Our biggest problem as to why we take things that wrong way is because of what we believe about ourselves. Most of us are broken inside because of situation we have been through; hurtful words used by others became the truth of what we believe. This way of thinking does not align with God’s word which tells us to take every thought captive and align them according to His word. This is all part of studying, meditating and applying His Word as He teaches, corrects,
trains and rebukes us in His righteousness. To be the salt and light to the earth is to know our identity as His children so that we can help others find their identity as one of God’s children as well.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, help us to know Your voice so that we can humble ourselves before You; help us to understand that Your word is the way we are taught who we are, as God’s children. Sometimes this is done by rebuking to correct us to get back into alignment with our true identity; sons and daughters of the King of Kings. Teach us to pray: “Father, use Your word to correct, train and rebuke us into Your righteousness so that we are thoroughly equipped to do the good work directed by You. Make Your thoughts out thoughts; Your ways our ways; cleanse our hearts with the right spirit to align with Your truth. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER
...not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:25
This verse always speaks to me as coming together as family. Just as we turn to our biological family for support and guidance, our church family is there for the same. I have found we need to drop the facade and present who we are to our church family who will support and love us as Jesus does. As we gather and worship together, we get to know one another more intimately. Then can we support and intercede for one another to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Lord I pray we may each courageously come to one another openly to know love and acceptance as Jesus loves and accepts us. May our hearts be open to pour out Your love on our brothers and sisters. Touch our hearts to be open to those in need. May Christ’s love shine on our faces and our hand be willing to reach out to all who enter our doors. Amen

we were called to walk in revelation
Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon’s son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Matthew 16:17- 19
This passage reveals the depth of our identity, relationship, and authority in God. When Jesus answers in verse 17, “Blessed are you, Simon’s son of Jonah … We see how Jesus
calls Simon the son of Jonah, and we ask ourselves, “Why did He call him and mention his father’s name?” It is a confirmation that it is you who has been called. There may have been other men with the same name, but Jesus made it clear. I know you and know where you come from (your lineage). “For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven”. Your relationship with God can define your level of revelation. Simon was always close to Jesus and did what he saw him do; that is why it was revealed to him who Jesus was. There, the importance of relationship is revealed to us; the closer you are with God, more things will be revealed to you through your relationship with Him.
“And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Church, God has placed you on the rock; you have been planting on his foundation, no winds or tides can destroy you. Nor will the gates of Hades prevail against you. God has given you the authority to bind and loose. Church, on this day God is calling you to intimacy; there you will find supernatural revelation from Him. He has called you by your name not to remain stagnant in one place; He wants you to draw near to Him so that you can build an intimate relationship. He has much to show you; all you have to do is present yourself and have an appointment with your Heavenly Father. It is time to rise up and seek His face.
PRAYER
Father, we come before you and ask forgiveness for neglecting our calling as the church. For being asleep instead of being vigilant and keeping our lamps burning. Thank you for your forgiveness. Thank you for the authority you have given us in your name. Thank you for calling us by name and giving us an identity as your children. Today we present ourselves as your church, as your body, and we ask you to awaken us and show us where we should go and what instruments we should use in your kingdom. Thank you because we know that the best is yet to come for our lives and for the church. Amen

IDENTITY
Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory. No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Joshua 1:3-9
The land was Israel’s. They had to cross over. They had to move. There would be many battles - and giants. But the land was theirs. Not just to possess, but to heal and redeem. Today the land is ours. But we question…
What if we’re not safe?...
What if we lose our things?...
Let’s ask better questions.
What if we do stay safe? Then they die. Forever.
Are we to be exempt from pain?
What if we lose everything?
Was it truly ever ours?
Identity forms our thoughts, words and actions. Understanding the progression or omitting it will make or break a community. Identity or mindsets determine perspective. A Majesty mindset establishes the Word at the gate of your mouth and your feet forward advancing, demolishing problems. Fear is sent tripping backwards into Hell.
Begin with stillness. The Holy hush. Let His Word speak. Cleanse the giants from your mind. Who are they to speak against the living God? Worship. Then carry Majesty, His Identity, as you go. Problems become food as His momentum overtakes and transforms that which was considered lost.
Serving in anything transformational requires risk. But love demands it. When Majesty is carried in our steps, victory and joy become our companions. Then we can ask the best question…Is anything too hard for our God?
-Beth Bline

LOVING YOUR NEIGHBOR
For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another! I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Galatians 5:13-26
Community is more than just good friends you can call when you need prayer. What true community is requires a sacrifice of your own life for someone, especially a brother in Christ. That doesn’t mean literally dying for them, as we don’t traditionally have to do that in America, but it means laying down your own preferences or desires if it means a fellow member of the body Christ might have a better view of the cross.
Loving your neighbor with the same care you have for yourself is not easy, and only possible with the Holy Spirit who helps us to reflect Christ’s nature! Walking in the flesh is ultimately selfish and will not lead us to inheriting His kingdom or shining Christ in any situation. Alternatively, walking in the Spirit is what actually causes us to let go of our selfish desires and care for others in the way Jesus did. We are meant to be on earth to be like Him AND love and take care of others. Those were His commandments. The law of Moses fulfilled by Christ in one statement; you shall love your neighbor as yourself. That is true community.
PRAYER
Lord, help me to love others with the same love I would have for myself or even my own family. Let me see others not only as Your children, but children You paid a great price for in an act of true love. Thank you for teaching me and growing in righteousness. May I have eyes to see the work You have done and are doing in the body of Christ so I can join in and be a part of planting seeds and gathering the harvest. Holy Spirit, thank you for Your conviction that turns me to righteousness. Help me to not keep You to myself but to shine Your character in everything that I do. In Jesus’ name,
Amen

REAL COMMUNITY
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV
What would our gatherings as the body of Christ look like If we didn't make the goal for us to receive something from our pastor or be "fed."? What if it looked like what this verse talked about? It tells us to "consider how to stir one another to love and good works"
A Christ-like community should be full of people who carry each others burdens, give correction, forgive, exhort one another to pick up their cross, deny themselves, and follow Jesus.
If you think you don't need people in your life and you're a "lone wolf", you are wrong. That mindset has become much more common in society but is rooted in selfishness and pride. Being in a real-life community provides accountability and requires humility. That is where "iron sharpening iron" actually happens. Social media is an empty counterfeit for that.
Social media, no matter how many "followers" or "friends" you have, gives you a false sense of connection and ultimately leaves you feeling isolated, lonely, and anxious.
We were made to walk together, rejoice together, and weep together. Don't be a keyboard coward. Put your phone down and go love someone. Maybe you haven't found a community yet, but don't sit around waiting for it to show up. Go find someone to love, encourage, and be a friend to. Maybe your community starts with just you and one person, and as you bear fruit, others will be drawn to that.

UNITY
When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans?”
Acts 2:1-7
We are appropriately named as a church. Abram was renamed by God to represent his purpose/destiny. Family of Faith Community Church had a name change many years
ago, to better reflect the church’s purpose/destiny Family of Faith Community Church. Let us agree with our name, and declare that we become:
A Family filled with Faith… Come Unity!
Families of Faith are needed in our Community, and in our church(s)
PRAYER
Father in Heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come to you, in one accord, united in purpose, of one mindset. We are here for You! Send your fire from heaven. Fill us up to overflowing as on the day of Pentecost. Help us to humbly seek the truth revealed in your Holy Word. Renew our hearts and minds. Help us to reach others, and come together with other devout truth seekers, regardless of their denomination. Just as on the Day of Pentecost, let men marvel at your works. Allow the Holy Spirt to speak in a
way that resonates with all of us and unites us for one purpose. COME UNITY! COME FAITH FILLED FAMILIES! We are all a part of the Family of God. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done through unity of mind and purpose. In the name of Jesus we pray.
Amen – So be it!

RAISING UP LEADERS
To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations.
Isaiah 61:3-4
Our city is broken. A city of ashes. A place of desolation. There is pain, struggle, addiction, grief, and homelessness. The streets are crying out for restoration, for hope, and for
healing. The good news is that God is already healing! As the broken are healed, He raises them up as ‘oaks of righteousness’- strong, rooted, and able to rebuild what was broken. Those who once struggled have become leaders, helpers, mentors, and sources of hope. God meets us in our pain and lifts us into purpose. Our community becomes a picture of God’s faithfulness. As we rise from the ashes, people see what God can do in a place that refuses to stay broken.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You for what You are doing for our community. We pray that You continue to turn ashes into beauty as people recover from loss, addiction, and discouragement. We pray that You continue to strengthen us to become ‘oaks of righteousness’, rooted, and resilient. We pray that as we continue to heal, that we feel the conviction to rebuild, restore, revive, and renew the people and neighborhoods that have been devastated. We thank You for Your faithfulness and willingness to transform us and create us into warriors for Your purpose.
Amen

Many Parts, One Body
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
Romans 12:4–5 (NIV)
This passage reminds us that biblical community is not built on sameness but on shared belonging. God intentionally designed His people with different gifts, personalities, and callings—not so we could compete, but so we could complement one another. Community thrives when we recognize that we are not meant to do life or faith alone; we belong to each other. When one part of the body is missing or disconnected, the whole body is affected.
True community requires humility. It asks us to value others, honor their contributions, and recognize that our faith is strengthened when we live interconnected lives. In Christ, we are not independent believers—we are interdependent members of one body, called to serve, support, and grow together.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for placing me in the body of Christ. Help me to value the people You have placed around me and to recognize that I am better because of them. Show me where I can serve, encourage, and strengthen my community. Remove any pride or isolation in my heart and teach me to walk in unity, love, and humility. Knit us together, Lord, so that we may reflect You to the world. Amen.

Coming soon...

To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

Amen.
